ZOMG, I got selected for youroctober's FF challenge. I only entered for fun. Didn't expect to qualify. :/

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first challenge of the Write the Wrong competition. Now, as I was going through the applications and trying to pick 10 winners, I realised something: I should never host a competition, ever. It’s so hard for me to pick winners for a variety of reasons: I could be hurting someone’s progress as a writer, I could lower someone’s self-esteem, and all of the writers who applied were just phenomenal. I know they say this at every single contest, but seriously, you guys impressed me. I never expected to find the quality in the applications that I did. With that being said, this decision was extremely difficult. However, I’m sure you’re all wondering who won, and so I won’t delay any longer. If your name is on the list that will appear, you are officially a contestant. They are in no particular order whatsoever.
1. Ironically Yours
2.Tippy Typewriter
3. Princess Ame
4. Kore-of-Myth
5. Dumbledore’s Emerald Phoenix
6. Quaintly Modern
7. CrapPishh
8. FloatingAmoeba
9. black.tinker.bell
10. –icyy-dragon-

So yeah, I have to write a story every two weeks for the challenge, and it has to adhere to the guidelines of the challenge set. It's based on elimination, so I'm kinda scared right now. D:

So what is the first challenge of this competition? It is called “Show Me”, and the objective is quite simple: for me to be able to get a good look at your writing styles. I want to see your strengths, your weaknesses, and the way that you write in this next challenge. Therefore, the only rules are the following:
1. It must be your own original work, and it cannot have been written previously (that is to say, you must make up something in the next 2 weeks, not just recycle something you wrote in the past).
2. It must be a one-shot of fewer than 4 pages and more than 2 pages.
3. It can be from any fandom of your choice.
4. Write me a story involving two characters of your choice, from any point of view that you like, in which one of them is attempting to buy the other one a birthday present.
5. Now this may seem simple, but here’s the catch: there must be one dominant theme throughout the story. This can be horror, comedy, action, romance, anything you like, but I should be able to identify the theme while reading.

Uhh, they say I'm good at this kinda thing, butbutbut, I need an idea, seriously. If anyone's got anything to help me, drop me an email/sms/msn msg etc. Thanks. :/
